Sculpture on the Gulf is a Waiheke Island art exhibition focused on artistic education.

Project Challenge

Objective

Over the years many others have contributed; local individuals and businesses in particular have been very generous with their time, goodwill and expertise.

Right from the start the aim of the exhibition on the Matiatia coastal walkway was to be the very best outdoor sculpture exhibition in New Zealand. Works were to be new, not seen anywhere else, “unexpected, daring and original” and responding to, and complementing the unique and spectacular location.

Objective

Sculpture on the Gulf is a Waiheke Island art exhibition focused on artistic education. Sculpture on the Gulf wanted a fresh website built to demonstrate their values of Kaitiakitanga (Guardianship of the land), Manaakitanga (Inclusivity), Mana Toi (Creativity), Whakatairi (Elevation) and Mahitahi (Collaboration).

Partnering with our team at KWD, Sculpture on the Gulf employed us to design a visually engaging site that offers excellent functionality and exhibits an aesthetic that blends well with their artistic style. The new site is filled with engaging content to encourage new customers and build brand loyalty.
